Unplugged Seoul
Seoul without the algorithm
You didn’t come to Seoul
to experience it through a screen.
This is a phones-off side quest
for people who want to actually feel the city โ
not optimize it, not perform it, not post it.
No GPS.
No scrolling.
No pressure to document anything.
You just show up.
I take care of the rest.
At a glance
This is how the day unfolds.
Meet at Hongdae Station, Exit 3
Phones go away. Today runs analog.
Camera first
We walk to a local film shop and get your camera โ
not a souvenir, but the tool for the day.
Rockโpaperโscissors picks the navigator
Leadership rotates. No fixed guide role.
Navigate without GPS
Subway signs, street names, paper maps, instinct.
A few intentional detours
Icons, quiet local spots, and one place the group chooses together
(always safe, never rushed).
Cafรฉ finale
Sit down. Wind down. Actually talk to humans.
What actually happens
We start by doing something most tours don’t.
We get you a camera.
The rules of the side quest
From here on, no one knows what’s next โ including me, by design.
Routes are decided by chance.
Navigation is analog.
Leadership rotates.
Sometimes by instinct.
Sometimes by signs.
Sometimes by rock-paper-scissors.
That uncertainty is the point.
It pulls you out of your head
and drops you into the city.
You’re not following a route.
You’re playing one.
How it unfolds (3 hours)
Meet at Hongik Univ. Station, Exit 3
Walk to a local film shop together
You receive your Standard Issue film camera
Rock-paper-scissors crowns today’s navigator
We move using signs, paper maps, curiosity
Icons + quiet local places + cafรฉ finale
No rushing.
No posing.
No “look here.”
Just Seoul, as it is.
About the camera
Your ticket includes a Standard Issue disposable film camera
(Kodak / Fuji โ the classics).
It’s the default tool for today’s mission.
If you see a different or premium camera you love,
you’re free to upgrade at the shop โ
just pay the difference directly there.
You don’t need to finish the roll today.
Keep using it for the rest of your trip.
Film development & scanning are not included โ
do it fast in Seoul or back home. Your call.
What you’ll leave with
At the end of the tour,
I’ll hand you one printed photo.
Not a file.
Not content.
A real, physical memory from the day.
The rest arrives later.
Like memories should.
Why this works
Because nothing here is optimized.
Price
